As a standard model, there is an abundant selection of output interfaces such as Component BNC, Composite, D-Sub, D5-terminal, DVI-I and S-Video. The onboard functionality is unmatched at a price to performance value that is unheard of in the market. Among many of its flexibilities, you will find that VG-859C can load custom image data such as BMP or JPEG, can make patterns scroll; ideal for FPD panel testing. Additionally, Teletext, Vchip and Closed Caption are supported. Macrovision can also be supported but as an *Optional feature. As a default, this video generator comes packed with pre-programmed timings and patterns stored as PRG (Programs). They are divided into three separate timing tables for easy access and usage. Table 1-2 holds all timing data for NTSC, PAL, SECAM and regular HDTV timings. Table 3 holds all of the EIA/CEA-861C standard timings used with HDMI applications.

Copy protect function

• HDCP(High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) with *AV-Mute ON/OFF Function and Macrovision(Optional) such copy protect test function is supported.

HDCP and EDID OK/NG simple test function / HDMI audio channel ON/OFF function

• HDCP, and EDID check sum test result with OK/NG status can be overlaid with any other patterns, program name, H/V/CLK frequency value also can be overlaid. Useful for checking these information on one pattern image together easily, especially in the production line. HDMI audio output channel can be set ON/OFF on the pattern image easily.

Ethernet is adopted for external interface

• Ethernet and RS-232C have been adopted for external interface. By supporting Ethernet, the unit is now capable of performing batch control of multiple VG units.

Editing with PC card with 24-bit full color image / Pattern scrolling function

• ATA compliant Compact Flash Card is adopted for recording medium. Program data can be saved directly with the PC without having to use VG.Capable of registering 16,770,000 BitMap/Jpeg full color image that can be output as an image pattern.
  
  
• Any output pattern can be scrolled at 1 dot and 1 line step precisely. Quiteuseful for simulating the response time of tested FPD panels.

Optional VT-8000 DTV card

• Optional VT-8000 DTV card CF card offers more traditional TV test patterns like Monoscope, ITE test patterns(ex. Flower Girl), Multi Burst, Each pattern images are real SD and HDTV resolution format.

Multi output interfaces

• In addition to HDMI or DVI digital signals such, RGB, YpbPr (YcbCr), S-Video, Composite (NTSC/PAL/SECAM)and D-Terminal(D5), SCART(with optional adapter IA-575) such analog outputs supported in one unit. Vchip, Teletext, Closed Caption such traditional TV test functions are also supported.

Various types of sample video timings and test patterns

• There are 450 timings pertaining to HDTV(480,720,1080), SDTV(NTSC, PAL, SECAM), PC timings like VESA and HDMI EIA CEA-861C timings are pre-installed. In addition there are pre-programmed test patterns that can be edited at their choosing.
  

LCD panel performance test functions

Many LCD panel performance test patterns like full black insertion for every 1-V-Step, Window level sequence control, cursor pattern with sub pixel data and overlay (to any pattern) are supported.
